Married to Eva Chanamé Ampuero de Silva, his life partner and fellow idealist, he is the father of Zahid Efraín Silva Quintanilla, in whom he projects the passion for learning and the values that have guided his own path.
From an early age, César demonstrated a deep interest in biblical studies and ancient languages, an inclination that led him to an outstanding academic background. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology from the Casiodoro de Reina Center for Biblical Studies - San Andrés Biblical Institute, as well as from the Latin American School of Missiology, both in Lima. He later obtained a Licentiate in Biblical Sciences from Casiodoro de Reina.
In recognition of his extensive career and contribution to biblical studies education, he received an honorary doctorate from Appleton Private University in the United Kingdom in 2024. That same year, RemZion University also awarded him an honorary doctorate in recognition of his significant contributions to the study and dissemination of biblical studies.

Author of works such as Monotheism Under Suspicion in the Hebrew Bible, Sex and Sexuality in the Hebrew Bible, Satan: A Multidisciplinary Approach, and Exodus Without Myths, his work is characterized by bridging academic rigor with an accessible approach, addressing complex topics with seriousness, sensitivity, and openness.

Throughout his career, César Silva has dedicated his life to teaching, research, and academic outreach. He has taught at institutions such as the San Alberto Magno Faculty, the Peruvian Evangelical Seminary, the Theological Community of Mexico, and the Peruvian Bible Society. His commitment to democratizing access to knowledge led him to found the LIMUD® Center for Biblical Studies and LIMUD Ediciones® , the first online platform in Latin America specializing in biblical studies accessible to everyone, especially those who have historically had fewer educational opportunities.
Her efforts have been recognized with the 2023 Academy and Education Award, which highlights her excellence in teaching classical and modern Hebrew. Furthermore, her pedagogical and outreach work reaches a community of over 100,000 followers and subscribers on digital platforms, solidifying her impact far beyond the traditional classroom.
Convinced of the importance of field research, he has participated in archaeological excavations in Jerusalem (2018), Kiryat Yearim (2019) and Megiddo (2020 and 2022), thus enriching his understanding of the historical contexts that support the biblical texts.
